For Kunsthal Light #16 Ari Bayuaji occupied the whole gallery 6 for 2 weeks, in which he turned the long and narrow showcase ramp into a home for himself to do the installation work where the public audience could interact directly with him. His three-dimensional sculptures, paintings, drawings, and photography works add up to a big art installation work with many references to locations in the world where he has been and materials that people use to make genie homes.
Bayuaji gives his work a feeling of memory and memorial as his imagination transforms the materials as an abstract installations. The associative links with the history of the materials used in relation to people is a constant in his work.
